Dr. Michael Glade

Veterinarian & Owner

Dr. Michael Glade joined Boonville Animal Hospital in 2001, where he began as a kennel technician as he went to school as an Animal Science major at Texas A&M University.  He began Veterinary school in 2003, graduated in the Fightin’ Texas Aggie class of 2007 with his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) and promptly transitioned to a doctor at Boonville.  Dr. Glade took over ownership in 2011 and has enjoyed the many employees and clients he has been able to know over the years.   He loves working with clients who provide such wonderful care for their pets.   Dr. Glade’s specialty is orthopedic surgery and repairing ACLs.  He also enjoys getting outside to work on cattle and horses.

In his free time, Dr. Glade loves to spend time on the water, wakeboarding and wake surfing.  He enjoys pretty much anything outdoors , tinkering in his workshop and listening to audio books.  He enjoys spending time with his wife, Heather, and their 3 children, Madison, Cameron and Ashlyn in their boundless amount of activities.  They have 2 dogs, 1 cat and two fish tanks full of freshwater fish.

Dr. Nick Whipple

Veterinarian

Dr. Whipple is a Texas native, born and raised south of Houston. He obtained an undergraduate degree in microbiology from Brigham Young University before coming home for veterinary school at Texas A&M University, from which he received his veterinary degree (DVM) in 2017. Dr. Whipple has been with Boonville Animal Hospital since graduation and loves the upbeat, supportive atmosphere, as well as the opportunity to make a positive difference in the lives of patients and clients alike. Dr. Whipple became part-owner of Boonville Animal Hospital in 2021.

Outside of work Dr. Whipple enjoys jogging, camping and hiking, home improvement projects, and playing music and relaxing with his wife Sydney and their children Samuel, Calvin, Emry, Holland, Finnley, and Lettie.

Dr. Pamela O'Rear

Veterinarian

Dr. Pamela O’Rear began working at Boonville Animal Hospital in May 2016. She graduated from Texas A&M University with her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) in 1989 and has been practicing for 29 years.  Her favorite part of working at Boonville are the wonderful clients, patients and staff. There is so much joy in the workplace and it is such a pleasure to serve the people and their pets of the Brazos Valley area.

Dr. O’Rear’s hobbies are spending time with her husband, Wes and two adult children, Darby and Caleb. They love to explore places, hiking and biking and just being outdoors. Their favorite place to visit is Ciudad de Angeles in Cozumel, an orphanage for children of Mexico that they have been working with for 12 years. (Also, the scuba diving is pretty special there) . And she also loves spending time with their church family and teaching bible classes.

They have 2 dogs, Emma and Sydney, an elderly cat, Brynne and 2 chickens, Dottie and Brownie who love to visit with them on their back porch.

Dr. Susannah Smith

Veterinarian

Dr. Susannah Smith joined Boonville Animal Hospital in 2019 after her graduation from Texas A&M University with her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine (DVM). Dr. Smith grew up in Bryan/College Station and went to Texas A&M for undergrad. She never expected to become a veterinarian and started undergrad in engineering. Halfway through school, she changed her major to Biomedical Sciences. After joining the veterinary team on a mission trip to Arizona with her church, she made the life changing decision to become a veterinarian and has never looked back! Following graduation, Dr. Smith hoped to work at a clinic near her home and family. She wanted to work at Boonville as soon as she visited the clinic because of its fun and friendly atmosphere!

In her free time, Dr. Smith enjoys quilting, reading, and spending time with her husband Dylan. She and her Australian Shepherd, Brazos (Brazie), regularly attend agility and obedience practice and they may join a competition for fun in the future.

Dr. Mikalah Smith

Veterinarian

Dr. Mikalah Smith joined Boonville Animal Hospital in 2020 after her graduation from Iowa State University with her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine (DVM). Dr. Mikalah grew up in West Des Moines, IA and has dreamt of becoming a veterinarian from a very young age! She attended Hillsdale College in southern Michigan and earned her bachelor’s degree in biology. She was a member of Hillsdale’s NCAA division II women’s swimming team and competed in long distance freestyle events. After graduation she returned to her home state to attend veterinary school, Go Iowa State Cyclones! Dr. Mikalah has an interest in both small animal and large animals, specifically work with cattle and horses. Dr. Mikalah wanted to move south after graduation and has family in the Bryan/College Station area. She was blown away by the quality of medicine and compassion of the staff at Boonville Animal Hospital and decided it was the perfect place to pursue her veterinary career!

In her free time, Dr. Mikalah enjoys going to concerts (she is a major Cody Johnson fan!), going to the gym, running, traveling, and spending time with family and friends. She also enjoys spending time exploring with her German Shepherd, Marshal!

Dr. Brittany Miano

Veterinarian

Dr. Miano joined Boonville Animal Hospital in 2022 after graduating from Texas A&M University with her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine (DVM). She grew up in San Antonio and attended Texas A&M University- Kingsville for her bachelor’s degree in Animal Science. She has enjoyed living in the Bryan-College Station area and after experiencing the atmosphere and quality of medicine at Boonville during an externship, Dr. Miano decided that it was the perfect place to practice veterinary medicine. She loves getting to meet the community and provide care for their animals. She enjoys working with both small and large animals, and has a special interest in small ruminants.

In her free time, Dr. Miano enjoys reading, traveling, hiking, and paddle boarding. She also loves spending time at home with her husband, Marc, and their two dogs, Dillinger and Hamilton.
